Hoyt St pneumatic tires with locally sourced 6061 aluminum rims sporting 48T (5"). 5" pneumatics are retro-compatible with Hoyt St EL2 and Tabor electric skateboards.
This wheel is compatible with the Evolve line of products, you just need a 295mm belt.
The creation of the 5" pneumatics has been a 4 year odyssey. Making a 5" tire is easy, making one rated for speed is a completely different challenge. First you need to find a quality vendor, next you need to double back to find a quality vendor open to the challenge and risk of creating the smallest tire on the market rated for speed. Finally you need the patience and commitment to withstand all the hurdles and delays you invariably encounter creating something new; like the realization that the speed rating and testing machinery doesn't have fixtures small enough for 5" tires. But at long last they're here! Hope you enjoy!
Speed rating for the 5" tire is 28mph/45kph. Tires are speed rated by successfully running a single tire for 40 hours over ~2000km (~1240 miles) at speed with a 50kg (110lbs) load. Recommended PSI: 40 (for minimal rolling resistance, maximum range), less to preference for cush.
